Scouting Report
Simon is a 5-foot-11, 205 pound athlete with physicality and broad shoulders. He ran well (6.86) and showed excellent athleticism in the outfield, moving well to track down fly balls during the game. He also showed good arm strength (84 MPH) in the showcase portion of the event. Offensively, Simon hits from a slightly open and tall stance with a high back elbow. He uses a small stride and efficient load to explode on balls with a gap-to-gap approach. He has plus bat speed and a compact, strong swing. He stays balanced and athletic through his swing mechanics and repeats the same swing well. He has a good amount of pop with more to come as he continues to put on size.
