Scouting Report
5-foot-11, 155-pound lean frame. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.23. Began in a balanced stance with a small load, then used a leg kick before his swing. Had loose swing plane, quick bat speed and high finish. In his round he found a few barrels. Base hit approach. the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 84 mph. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 79 mph. Smooth In the infield, showed a clean exchange, athletic feet and consistent hands. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot.
Physical: 6-foot, 165-pound lean, athletic frame with room to fill out. 6.95 60 yard dash.
Offensively: Starts in a crouched, athletic stance and slightly opened with hands above back shoulder. Uses a small leg lift and stride to start swing as hands load down and back fluidly. Controlled but explosive bat path and swing produces consistent loud contact and gap to gap juice. 95 mph exit velo via Trackman.
Defensively: Took reps from behind the dish and from the outfield. Catcher - registered pop times between 1.97-2.05-seconds in a showcase format, throws down to 2B topped at 77 mph. Quiet receiver and bounce to step upon transfer. Transfer is high, effecient and shows a short/quick arm action. Best throws had some carry to the bag. Outfield - best throws topped at 88 mph to home plate. Fields ball out front, athletic footwork and longer arm action from the OF. One of the top 2023s from the winter and a high riser in the next update of 2023 NJ state rankings.
