Last Chance Preview (November 18, 2017) Sierra stands in at 5-foot-10, 140-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 6.72 – 60. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher in a wide stance. Quiet through the transfer getting into a good hitting position. Shows quick hands with a smooth level barrel path. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and to the pull side with gap to gap potential. Clean, smooth and fluid swing that shows high potential. Recorded an exit velocity of 79 MPH, slightly down from his previous best mark of 85 MPH set in September 2017. Defensively- Shows a good approach and quick footwork to the baseball. Comes through the ball well gaining ground towards the target. Good, long outfielder arm swing with an accurate arm. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 86 MPH. 2019 on the rise in NY, look for a big spring out of Sierra.
