Top Performer Spotlight: 2020 1B/RHP Nicholas Franceschi (Geneva HS)

Dan Cevette
President, New York

Since June 7th, our boot-on-the-ground scouting team have seen 500+ players at showcase events, including the 2019 NYS Games. Already, 100's of players have caught the eyes of our professional scouting staff, all with dreams of playing baseball at the next-level. Over the remainder of the summer I (Dan Cevette) will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out and offering my "Quick-Hit" thoughts on the players.

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: Well built at first glance with a sturdy frame standing 5-foot-11, 190-pounds, durable wide shoulders. Loose actions in the box, plenty of hand/barrel rhythm, slight incline through contact, bat-speed present, hard contact. Bat projects at the next-level. At 1B, very active, smooth fielding glove, strong high 3/4 arm-slot release. Pitching, fast paced tempo to his mechanics, low knee lift, high 3/4 slot with downward depth to the ball, CB shows 11/6 shape. Player to closely follow this fall/spring hailing from wine-country in upstate NY, I suspect he will be off the board soon.
