Ohio Insider: Surprise Draftee Will Go To College

CRESTON – Nobody from the Wayne County Athletic League had been taken in the Major League Baseball Draft in more than 20 years. Alex Widmer did not expect to break that streak.

After all, the recent Creston Norwayne graduate was not even first-team all-league this past season.
