Barnard burst onto the scene at the PBR Fall Championship where he say an easy 84-87 mph, touching 88, from a 3/4 slot. His outing caught the attention of several college in attendance, including Iowa, to which he committed about a month after the event. At 6-foot-3, 170 pounds, Barnard’s ability to pepper the bottom of the zone and induce groundball contact, mixed with two average to better secondary offerings, makes him a potential top 15 prospect in the state.
