School: Sinclair HS
Ranking: 12th in Ontario's 2016 class
Evaluation: Well proportioned frame with broad shoulders on the 6-foot-3 lefty out of Whitby. More room to add strength to. Jones uses a three-pitch mix with good tempo throughout his delivery. Fastball has been up to 84 mph with some arm side run. Curveball is best pitch, good rotation with big 12/6 break. Flashes changeup, needs to maintain arm speed on pitch, downward sink when thrown properly. Chance to be successful pitcher with tools and size, body control and a repeatable delivery will allow Jones to continue in his path to the next level.
