2025 Pacific Northwest State Games - 2026's Quick Hits
August 6, 2025
Last week, Prep Baseball PNW hosted the 2025 Pacific Northwest State Games at Heritage High School in Vancouver, Washington. The summer's premier baseball showcase event featured players in the 2026-2028 graduating classes, with many strong showings throughout.
The Pacific Northwest State Games event is a culmination of the year in high school baseball, bringing together some of the area's top prospects. The State Games allow college coaches to see how talent stacks up and recruit future contributors, with over 75 players from last year's event going on to make a college commitment. This year's event featured a great turnout of college coaches across the three days of workouts and gameplay.
Earlier, we released our Statistical Stories from the event, detailing leaders in various metrics. Over the next several days, we'll be unveiling our Quick Hits stories, detailing scouting notes on standout players from the event. Today, we begin our series of Quick Hits with the class of 2026. Players are listed alphabetically by last name.
2025 Pacific Northwest State Games
Quick Hits - 2026's
'26 OF/LHP Lance Burt (Redmond)
After impressing earlier at a Summer ID event, Burt carried his momentum into Vancouver, showcasing well metrically across the board. 6'2 athlete moves well and ran a 6.88 60-yard dash, and could well stick at any of the three OF spots. Present arm strength in the OF and on the mound. High intent delivery from the left side, flashing a three-pitch mix with a FB sitting 86-87 MPH and a CH/SL that played well off the heater. Attacked with the FB throughout. Set several new bests at the plate as well, including an 87.5 MPH average exit velocity and 353 foot batted ball distance in BP rounds.
'26 INF/RHP Matthew Carroll (Lynden)
The Lynden product showed great in his first Prep Baseball showcase, holding his own against some of the region's top talent. Kicked things off with crisp rounds of BP, peaking with a 98.5 MPH exit velocity and a 369 foot batted ball distance. Carroll then went on to have the best INF velocity recorded at the event with 86 MPH throws across the diamond. The arm strength translated on the mound, where he sat 85-87 T 88.3 MPH, showing the ability to spin a slider at a plus rate as well. Medium-framed athlete could be a sound two-way player at the next level.

'26 RHP Gavin Clark (Jackson)
A longtime top-end arm in terms of velocity for his state class, Clark had a productive in-game look across three innings on the mound. FB sat in the upper 80's from a high, over-top slot release. Some torque in the upper half through a high-intent throwing action. Dropped the slot down to more of a 3/4 slot look when throwing offspeed deliveries. A fading CH flashed as the strongest offspeed pitch, commanding to the arm side at 77-80 MPH. CB/SL offspeed combination as well. Despite some rawness still present, unquestionable arm talent was on display for the Jackson product.
'26 LHP Connor Coleman (WF West)
The lefty did nothing but set new personal bests across the three day event. Coleman started with some of the louder BP rounds of the day, peaking with a 99.4 MPH exit velocity and 379 foot batted ball distance. Plus batspeed through the zone allowed for power to the big part of the field. 7 second runner in the 60. Exciting arm talent on the mound, commanding a FB from a loose arm action at 86-88 T89 MPH that drew a crowd of scouts and recruiters. CH/SL offspeed combination shown as well, both offerings sitting in the mid/upper 70's. High-end uncommitted LHP.
'26 INF Kole French (North Thurston)
Intriguing 6'1 athlete with plenty of tools on display, continuing his strong 2025. Plus bat speed with a flatter approach and gap power from the right side. Peaked with a 99.7 MPH exit velocity, averaging 88.7 MPH. Middle INF actions with fluid, soft hands. 6.80 second 60-yard dash time. Fundamentally sound player.

'26 INF/RHP Quade Gonzalez IV (Othello)
Lean 6'3 frame moved well on the mound & is emerging as one of the top remaining uncommitted arms in the state class. Command came and went at times, but overpowered hitters with a FB at 87-90 MPH. Two distinct breaking balls generated in-zone whiffs, both pitches spinning north of 2500 RPM on average. Also showcased versatility with louder BP rouds, peaking with a 99.9 MPH exit velocity and batted ball distance of 368 feet. Standout performer.
'26 C Maguire Gray (Sherwood)
Physical 6'2 backstop continued to show difference-making ability at the plate, leaving the yard several times to the pull side in BP rounds. Peaked with a 98.8 MPH exit velocity and an event-best 391 foot max batted ball distance. Powerful levers stay connected through the zone with an uphill path and plus bat speed. Set new personal best with a 2.03 second pop time behind the plate, controlling the run game in-game as well.
'26 RHP Eli Herst (Seattle Academy/Vanderbilt)
The top-ranked 2026 in Washington turned in one of the most dominant showings on the mound across the three-day event. Worked to all parts of the zone from a smooth, repeatable delivery, striking out 5 batters across 2 innings of work. FB sat 90.1-93.4 MPH & was leaned on heavily. Flashed a couple of mid-70's sliders and low-80's changeups worked to both righties and lefties. Top-end talent will be at Area Codes in the coming weeks and the Prep Baseball All-American Game in Miami for the second straight year.

CH 81.1-82.5

'26 OF Cameron Hyder (McMinnville)
Athletic 6'0 outfielder set a new best with a 6.76 second 60-yard dash time, covering ground in the OF all week. Smooth, easy-looking BP rounds produced a ton of line drive contact, peaking with a 95.0 MPH exit velocity. Hyder was at Pennsylvania's State Games earlier this summer, where he set more personal bests in exit velocities and batted ball distances.
'26 RHP/INF Kealoha Kepo'o-Sabate (Meadowdale/Texas Tech)
Another top-ten player in the Washington state class that participated in this year's State Games, Kepo'o-Sabate showed off his familiar electric arsenal. FB sat 88.4-92.5 MPH from a quick arm action into a high 3/4 slot release. SL/CH offspeed combination were both up to 80 MPH. Struck out three batters across two innings of work. If the righty can throw enough strikes, the talent and athleticism should result in a difference maker at the next level. Also showed well at the plate with a 98.7 MPH exit velocity and 356 max batted ball distance.
'26 OF Rylan Metz (Lakeridge)
Toolsy 6'1 outfielder has showed steady progress across multiple looks recently. Ran a 6.70 60-time to kick off his showcase portion of the event. Carries a heavier barrel through the zone with a longer, loopy path resulting in hard contact. Ability to punish baseballs when he gets the ball in the air, seen with a 380 foot max batted ball distance. Arm strength still developing, but athletic enough to play CF for the time being. Interesting follow.
'26 INF/RHP Lucas Miller (Bonney Lake)
Miller won the first-ever Pitching MVP award for the 2025 PNW State Games, hurling 4 innings of shutout baseball on the mound. The righty struck out 3 and allowed just 1 hit to take home a prize pack. 6'1 prospect featured a low-80's heater commanded that induced softer contact, with a four-pitch mix that kept hitters guessing. Primarily an infielder, Miller also peaked with a 98.7 MPH exit velocity at the dish, featuring a flatter approach from the right side.
'26 INF Christopher Moore (Kentlake/Washington)
The Washington commit turned in one of his best showings on the mound, effective with a FB sitting 87-90 T90.5 MPH from a 3/4 slot, cross-body fire. CH and SL both have makings of plus offerings, with the CH sitting 80-82 MPH with sink and the SL at 75-77 with sweeping action. Delivered some of his best BP rounds as well, peakign with a 100.3 MPH and averaging a 96.2 MPH exit velocity. On the barrel from the jump with power to the gaps, including a 370 foot shot over the LCF wall. Top-ten player in WA state class.
'26 1B/OF Braeden Parker (Mt. Spokane)
Fresh off of his trip to LakePoint as a part of the PNW Senior Future Games, Parker showcased arguably the best BP rounds of the entire event, peaking with a 102.6 MPH blast and averaging 98.7 MPH throughout. Powerful levers stay inside the ball, playing larger than his listed 6'3, 230 pound frame. Excellent mover ran a 6.98 60-time but has run as good as a 6.74 earlier this summer. Plenty to dream on with fantastic make up for a player that should be getting plenty of looks to play college baseball.
'26 OF/LHP Braden Perry (Woodinville)
Strides made across the board, with personal bests posted both at the plate and on the mound. Wiry 6'0 lefty drove balls to the gaps with a 95.8 MPH exit velocity and 354 foot max batted ball distance. Loose, fluid delivery on the mound with a high-slot release. Up to 86 MPH with some sink, mixing in a 12/6 CB w/ bite often at 73-74 MPH. Productive in-game performance on the mound, throwing a pair of scoreless innings. 6.79 runner. Well-rounded look.
'26 RHP/OF Elliot Raiton (Grant)
Two-way player looked the part all week, providing some quick innings on the mound and setting personal bests metrically across the board. Sat 82-84 MPH on the mound with some ride on the FB and a CH/CB offspeed combination. On the barrel consistently from the right side with a peak exit velocity of 92.5 MPH and batted ball distance of 340 feet. 6.96 runner with 83 MPH throws from the OF.

'26 RHP/1B Michael Revell (Richland/Grand Canyon)
The Future Games alum was among the best players all week, showing off with two scoreless frames on the mound while striking out six batters. FB was 88-91 MPH from a shorter, quick arm slot. Leaned on the SL as his main secondary offering in the mid-70's with a CH at 82.6 MPH as well. Long 6'5 frame naturally extends down the mound despite a lower, quick leg lift. Also went yard from the left side of the plate with a quick, twitchy swing. Top-end talent.
'26 OF Ronan Scoffield (Juanita)
One of the bigger breakout performers this week, particularly in the workout portion of the event. Ran a near event-best 6.65 60-yard dash time and followed with mature BP rounds, staying connected with a higher hand path and a peak exit velocity of 98.8 MPH. Athletic, medium frame could stick in CF, showcasing his arm in the defensive portion of the workout with throws up to 89 MPH. Scoffield is sure to get looks from several prominent schools in the area and is an uncommitted '26 to circle.
'26 RHP Theo Silas (Roosevelt)
The 6'0 righty had some great upticks in stuff and the operation since a preseason look, sitting 84-87 T 89 MPH on the mound from a loose, whippy arm action and upright finish. Mixed in a SPL at 80-82 MPH and a 73-77 MPH SL on occasion. Manipulated arm slot and shape on pitches at times. Commanded to both sides of the plate and generated positive results, throwing three scoreless frames while striking out 7 batters. Arm to watch.

'26 C Ethan Swallom (North Creek)
The first-ever Most Valuable Hitter award winner at the PNW State Games, Swallom stood out above the rest in-game, finishing 6 for 8 with 2 home runs, a double and 3 singles. The righty bat was on absolutely everything that was thrown his way, hitting high velocity and sitting on slower breaking balls to punish balls to all fields. Swallom started his week with superb BP rounds, averaging 91.2 MPH, and carried it over in-game with a HR on Tuesday. He later hit another impressive home run to the opposite field on Thursday. The backstop also showed sound defensive actions and a best catcher pop time of 1.94 seconds. Swallom put together an exceptional week and should be shooting up recruiting boards as a result.
'26 RHP/INF Beckett Turnbow (Tahoma)
One of three players who played in both the Senior Future Games and the PNW State Games, Turnbow's high-octane game was on display on Tuesday. Turnbow sat 88-91 from a longer, higher-slot release, giving some real life to the FB. Worked two innings and showcased some swing and miss with all offerings. Elevated the ball with ease in BP rounds with a lofty RH swing, peaking with a 99.5 MPH and averaging a 95.0 MPH exit velocity. Hard-nosed style of play & can stick in the middle INF if he's not on the mound. Exciting follow.
'26 OF/RHP Graeme Warner-McGee (Lincoln)
The 6'3 athlete has real game-changing tools when it clicks, showcased by exit velocities up to 101.6 MPH in BP rounds and a 60-time of 6.90 seconds. Profiles well in a corner with a strong power tool and some arm strength. Carried his momentum into gameplay with a towering home run to LCF, carrying a quick bat through the zone. Also showed upside on the mound, sitting 83-86 MPH with some of the highest spin rates of any FB at the event, peaking at 2483 RPM. Could spin the breaker as well with an 11/5 shape.
'26 RHP/OF Bodie Yale (Eastmont)
Another standout two-way player, Yale was one of the first to stand out in BP rounds Tuesday morning, peaking with a 96.6 MPH and averaging a 92 MPH exit velocity. Mostly pull power shown, but did hit to the middle of the fields with some authority. 7.16 second runner. Big strides made on the mound made hitters look silly at times, with a four pitch mix headlined by a FB at 86-89 MPH. Both the SL & CB were plus offerings with north of 2500 RPM spin rates on average, creating two different shaped breakers commanded to the glove side. Impressive all-around showing.
