Preseason All-State Showcase Spotlight: 2021 SS/RHP Derek Cease

The Preseason All-State Showcase annually draws in excess of 100 of the top uncommitted prospects in the state. This winter's event will take place over two days at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim on February 16th and 17th.
As we draw closer to February we will be periodically highlighting some of the prospects scheduled to participate. Today we continue our preview with a look at 2021 SS/RHP Derek Cease.

+ 2018 PBR Junior Future Games Selection (14U Team Pennsylvania)
12/30/17 - 5-foot-6, 125-pound two-way prospect impressed with his all-around skill set. Ran a 6.94 60-yard dash and flashed 83 mph arm strength across the diamond defensively. Displayed active feet and plays through the baseball routinely as a middle infielder. Right-hander sat 80-82 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a compact, repeatable delivery. Curveball shows tight 11/5 rotation at 63-65 and changeup is thrown at near fastball arm speed at 74-75.
