Scouting Report
What We Liked: Standing a projectable, athletic 6-foot, 165lbs, Yeager produced a confident batting practice round with ready bat-speed and an efficient path to the baseball. The right-handed hitter generated good leverage on the low pitch, able to plug the gaps for extra-bases up to a T91 mph bat-exit velocity (4th best at the event). Active footwork set the pace defensively with an accurate glove-hand working low to the ground, over the toes. The ascending two-way prospect stepped on the mound firing strikes out of a lower release height (4.7 feet) allowing for increased ride up in the zone on a 78-80 mph FB (18 inches IVB). Though the CB is still developing additional spin, a 72-74 mph CH could be a go-to secondary pitch with the ability to fade (10 inches HM).
