Uncommitted Prospect Spotlight: 2022 1B/OF Jake Books
September 17, 2019
Just five weeks have passed since the completion of the 2019 PBR Future Games and to date a total of nine players that made up the 21 player Team Pennsylvania roster have announced a college commitment.
Over the coming weeks we will take a look at the remaining dozen prospects that participated in a Team PA uniform and recap their performance at the event.
Today we continue with a look at 2022 1B/OF Jake Books. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound left-handed hitter showcased above average balance and an advanced approach to hitting while leading the team in RBI over the course of three games. Books currently shows the ability to drive the baseball to all fields with his strength coming from his lower half. A 93 mph bat exit velocity and a frame that has room to continue developing should lead to additional power in the coming years.
