April 21, 2021
Scouting Report
Physical: Lean and athletic 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame with a high level feel for the game. Ran a 7.11 60-yard dash at the PA State Games.
Offensively: RHH. Crouched, even stance with the hands starting high at the ear upon setup. Utilized a deep toe tap stride with the hips working straight through the baseball at impact. The barrel entered the hitting zone through a slightly uphill path allowing for hard pull-side contact at the front of the plate and occasional lift to the LCF gap when on time. Showcased quality feel for the barrel shooting line drives through the middle of the field regardless of quadrant he was pitched into. Could get a little more into the legs, but still created plenty of barrel whip towards extension. Recorded an impressive 95 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The primary outfielder showcased advanced footwork arriving on time with regularity to the spot and consistently playing downhill through the fielding window. Fielded the ball off the left foot with a soft glove hand and repeatable transfers allowed for accurate throws out of a high ¾ arm-slot with good extension on the front side. Got around the ball well on balls hit to either gap, showcasing his range defensively and should be able to handle a corner outfield spot at the next level.. OF - 80 mph
Showcased advanced feel for a lean and athletic 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame with fluidity in his actions. The right-handed hitter begins with a balanced, even stance utilizing a knee-knock stride to initiate his swing. Generated easy hand speed with natural athleticism in the lower half allowing for a slightly uphill barrel path through contact point. Showed off occasional pull-side lift during batting practice while recording an 87 mp bat-exit velocity. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash flashing some of the athleticism and fluidity he possesses. The primary outfielder demonstrated advanced footwork setting himself up for advantageous hops creating consistent momentum towards the target. A soft glove hand plays well in transition to accurate 81 mph throws from his position out of a high ¾ arm-slot. WIth current measurables and ability, should have the ability to play left or centerfield at the next level.
