We have our second update to the 2025 VA/DC Power 25. This update saw some big movers, up and down, but the main thing is a large portion of the Power 25 lost one game last week. Why did that happen? There were a lot of ranked teams that played each other last week, including two big games matching up Miller School/Madison, as well as Atlee/Mills Godwin. With spring breaks beginning in the Richmond area this week, we will see some down weeks in terms of games played in that region, but will continue to push through our updates. Without further ado, we are going to highlight a few teams that have seen some movement in the Power 25.

VA/DC Power 25 Update Notes

+ St. John's remains in the top spot, even after losing their first game of the season. While SJC did lose to the IMG National team, the Cadets defeated West Broward (who defeated Miller School a few weeks back), as well as a few others. They have a big WCAC matchup coming this week with Paul VI, as well as a showdown on Saturday with Bishop O'Connell.

+ Moving up to #2 from the #8 spot are the Cox Falcons. Cox knocked off previously undefeated First Colonial, as well as Kellam and St. Ignatius (OH). Prep Baseball Ohio has St. Ignatius as their #6 preseason team, so Cox takes in two quality wins this week. The Falcons only have one game this week, as they will face off against fellow beach area foe, Ocean Lakes.

+ #6 Battlefield and #10 Mills Godwin both climb six spots to their respective spots in the current Power 25. The Bobcats of Battlefield had a big win over the previously #5 ranked Gainesville, while Godwin defeated the previous #3 Atlee Raiders. Battlefield had two wins last week and Godwin had three, including a big win over Riverbend.
