Clayton Rice SS / American Christian, AL / 2026

+ SS Clayton Rice (American Christian, 2026) emerged as an under-the-radar winner looking back from last month's North AL Preseason All-State. Rice, a 6-foot-0, 165-pounder, has a wiry, high-waisted frame with present athleticism that translates well to his skill set at the plate and up the middle defensively. From the left side of the plate, Rice showed the ability to drive balls to both sides of the field using a simple, balanced setup and bat speed through the zone during his round of BP. Up the middle defensively, the freshman has good feet and moves well laterally with developing arm strength and sure hands. Quality younger prospect to follow in the coming years.
