La Mesa, CA - I was on hand 2/27/19 as San Diego high school baseball produced a juicy early season matchup between the #1 Helix Highlanders and #5 Eastlake Titans in the Aztec-Foothiller tournament. Loaded with college commitments and pro prospects alike, this early season matchup showcased some of the counties best in front of a baker's dozen scouts. The Titan offense showcased their offensive power behind a big home run from UCSD commit ‘19 Jalen Fejerantotaling thirteen hits as a team. San Diego State commit ‘19 Ricky Tibbett looked poised and under control on the mound en route to a victory on the mound. LSU commit ‘20 Jordan Thompson highlighted the Highlander offense with a home run and double. Eastlake improved to 3-0-1 with the win while Helix fell to 2-4 on the season.
