There are many reason why we end up at the games we attend as scouts. Sometimes we go to games to see a well-known talent or a traditionally strong program, and other times we go to follow up on a tip about an under-the-radar player that is pretty darn good.

For me, it was a combination of all those things when I went to see Tesoro HS host Martin Luther King HS play in a tournament game on 3/6/2018. Each program has players that are committed to Division I schools and a handful of others that will get the opportunity to play collegiately on some level. A couple of the committed guys stood out, namely Nick Pinto (Tesoro HS) and Nick Pena (Martin Luther King HS), but it was the uncommitted guys that made a lasting impression.
