2025 OSSAA Power 25: Week Five

A month into the season, we take an updated look at the Power 25.  Nearing the midway point of the season, this update features a few small changes due to results on the field as well as still some projection with the talent on the field.   All scores and records are from the OSSAA Rankings page.

We have slight changes throughout the Top 5, including a new number one in Owasso. Improving to 17-1 on the year, including 5-0 on the week, Owasso moves into the top spot. Over their last six games, they have outscored opponents 61-0. Edmond Memorial slots in at two following a district sweep, Newcastle remains at three, and Edmond Santa Fe and Bixby switch at four and five, respectively.

Choctaw and Blanchard improve slightly as they round out the top 10. Choctaw awaits a big series against Edmond Santa Fe on Monday and Tuesday that will have the attention of many across the state. Elk City also continues to rise, now checking in at number 18, moving up four spots as they are still undefeated at 12-0. Moving back into our rankings is Duncan and making their first appearance is Heritage Hall. Heritage Hall opens a big series against Tuttle tonight after big wins over Bishop Kelley and Mount St Mary over the weekend.

Teams throughout our rankings took care of business in their district series at the beginning of the week. With that, we continue to see slight improvements to teams like Dale and Dewar that continue to compete with schools from all classes. We look forward to another big week of games this week with some big matchups upcoming.
