PNW Preseason All-State - 2026's Quick Hits
February 20, 2025
On Monday February 17th, Prep Baseball PNW hosted Pacific Northwest Preseason All-State at The Hub Indoor Sports Complex in Centralia, WA. The premier invite-only event of the preseason featured Washington and Oregon athletes in the 2025-2028 graduating classes, with several outstanding showings throughout the day.
Preseason All-State serves as an identifier heading into the spring high school season, providing Prep Baseball scouts and college recruiters a list of prospects to follow as they plan their spring coverage. We also tend to see prospects’ best performances in the preseason, as most athletes are fresh and coming off of strict and targeted off-season training programs that have resulted in big gains. Standout performances can lead to invitations to some of the summer's biggest invite-only events, including the Pacific Northwest State Games, Prep Baseball Future Games, and more.
Today we release our 2026 Quick Hits, detailing scouting notes on standout 2026 graduates from the event. Players are listed alphabetically by last name.
Stay tuned this week for more content from the biggest event of the preseason, including 2027 and 2028 Quick Hits. For all other post-event content, click here.

RHP Jacob Chandler (Union, WA)
One of the more polished and consistent arms in the class. Chandler has always possessed above average apitude of manipulating the baseball and understanding how to use his arsenal. Heads into the season with added velocity after ranging 86.5 - 87.3 mph with his lively FB. The CB is above average with sharp bite & depth at 2600 rpm while he also has a s/m SL with 2,400 with hard, late darting action to his glove-side. CH gives him a true 4th pitch as he kills spin and creates consistnet tumble. High academic student as well.
RHP/INF Gavin Clark (Jackson, WA)
High octane player in medium frame. Quick-paced, high intent delivery with high slot release on the mound. Ran the FB up to 90.8 MPH, sitting 89-90 throughout. CH with some arm side fade played well, with a SL/CB breaking pitch combination as well. At the plate, rotates quickly with a quick bat, peaking at 81.7 MPH bat speed. Peaked with a 95.7 MPH exit velocity. Can make the routine play in the infield with some arm strength across the diamond.
C Nolan Foglio (Clackamas, OR)
Look for Foglio to be a big riser in the 2026 class after a stout performance at All-State on both sides of the ball. Big arm strength behind the dish up to 80 mph while racking up pop times between 1.95 - 2.05. Offensively it was a smooth operation with a highly impressive average BP of 90.6 mph and a peak of 98.4.
C/1B Maguire Gray (Sherwood, OR)
Strong, stocky backstop continued his trend of crushing baseballs in BP rounds. Posted a peak exit velocity of 102.5 MPH, averaging 94.7 MPH. Max batted ball distance of 393 feet. Starts in slightly open setup with high hands, staying connected with loft generated to the pull side. Also showcased defensive versatility with 84 MPH throws across the infield and a 2.06 second catcher pop time.
RHP/1B Jack Gripentrog (Mountlake Terrace, WA)
Two-way player had a solid showing on both sides of the ball. On the mound, the 6'3 righty starts in a slightly close stretch position, using a strong lower half to work down the mound. Ran the FB up to 87.4 MPH for strikes with a CH/SL offspeed combination, both in the upper 70's. Also peaked with a 97.7 MPH exit velocity at the dish. Junior on the rise heading into the spring.

C/INF Trenton Hertzog (Tualatin, OR/Oregon commit)
One of the top juniors in the area looked the part, with mature rounds of BP from the start. Lefty bat stayed through the zone well, peaking with a 100 MPH exit velocity. Hertzog also showcased his growth behind the plate, with a best throw of 79 MPH behind the dish and an impressive 1.90 second catcher pop time. Was also among the event's best with a 6.72 second 60-yard dash time. Oregon commit continues to show out.

The Oregon product showed some increasing physicality that translated in BP rounds. Was on the barrel throughout with a 95.8 MPH peak and 90.6 MPH average exit velocity, with a max batted ball distance of a personal-best 372 feet. Balanced setup and load with some lift created at contact. Quickness that translates in the outfield, similar to look in previous summer.
RHP/INF Kealoha Kepo'o-Sabate (Meadowdale, WA/Texas Tech commit)
Texas Tech commit showed surplus of athleticism throughout the day. Ran a 6.95 second 60-yard dash as a long strider. Quick, long delivery on the mound, ran the FB up to 91.3 MPH, the best of any junior at the event. Showed better feel for the CH, hitting both sides of the plate at 83-84 MPH. Also flashed slider with some depth. Set a personal best at the plate with a 101 MPH peak exit velocity. High-end talent.

RHP/INF Deegan Quesenberry (Richland, WA)
2x Future Gamer made jumps across the board and continues to show next level arm talent. Defensively was 86 mph across the diamond and paired that with a new Peak EV up to 100.5 mph. Strong rotational athlete gets the out of his frame on the mound as well, running the FB up to 89.4 mph with heavier life in the bottom of the zone. Continues to show feelf or arsenal and understands how to compete in the zone with his stuff. One of the top 2-way players in the class.
OF Miles Soja (Ballard)
Well put together athlete emerging with an impressive speed/power combination that profiles great to the OF now and long-term. Started off with a 6.87 in the 60 with quality arm strength up to 80 mph defensively. At the plate, keeps levers tight and quick to the ball with strength at point of contact. Peak EV up to 100.6 mph now with easy bat speed from a balanced set up. Big junior to watch this spring.
LHP Dashiell Story (Seattle Academy, WA)
After a big 2024 year, Story looks stronger than ever heading into his junior year. His ability to spin the secondaries has always stood out and he made another quality velo jump to couple a more overpowering FB with the rest of his arsenal. Velo held 85.7 - 87.0 on this look while commanding the bottom of the zone. CB racked up 2,450 rpm and SL was at 2,529 rpm. One of the top uncommitted arms to watch in the class.
INF Jaden Tragesser (Lakeridge, OR)
Progression in game across the board since previous look. Strong bodied athlete ran a 6.88 second 60-yard dash and can move well in either direction in the infield. Hard contact on a line in BP rounds, peaking with a 97.9 MPH exit velocity and averaging 91.7 MPH. Loose wrists and steady base throughout swing. Multi-sport athlete.
OF/RHP Graeme Warner-McGee (Lincoln, OR)
Another player with jumps in metrics across the board. Some increased physicality and quick bat through the zone produced a 100.6 MPH peak exit velocity and 380 feet max batted ball distance. Steady delivery on the mound with some late intent, sat 83-86 T 86.4 with the FB. CH sat 77-78 MPH with some downward action, partered with a SL 73-74 MPH. 6.90 second 60-yard dash was a big improvement as well. Player on the rise.
1B Bode Webb (Mount Vernon, WA)
Big time lefty power bat with some defensive versatility. Had an event best 403 foot max batted ball distance. Relaxed setup into quick bat turn produced power in the air with ease. Peaked with a 101.3 MPH exit velocity, averaging 90.4 MPH. 6'2 frame best suited for corner OF or 1B look. Throws in the high 70's across the diamond. Standout bat.
RHP AJ Welch (Monroe, WA)
One of the breakout arms from the 2024 PNW State Games, Welch took another step forward heading into the 2025 season and looks poised for a big year. FB velo held impressively at 89 - 89.5 with a full arsenal that features a Cutter, Sinker, SL & CH. At 6'3 there's still room for added development and likely more in the tank that he can tap into this spring/summer. One of the top arms to follow in the class.
