PNW Preseason All-State - 2028's Quick Hits
February 28, 2025
On Monday February 17th, Prep Baseball PNW hosted Pacific Northwest Preseason All-State at The Hub Indoor Sports Complex in Centralia, WA. The premier invite-only event of the preseason featured Washington and Oregon athletes in the 2025-2028 graduating classes, with several outstanding showings throughout the day.
Preseason All-State serves as an identifier heading into the spring high school season, providing Prep Baseball scouts and college recruiters a list of prospects to follow as they plan their spring coverage. We also tend to see prospects’ best performances in the preseason, as most athletes are fresh and coming off of strict and targeted off-season training programs that have resulted in big gains. Standout performances can lead to invitations to some of the summer's biggest invite-only events, including the Pacific Northwest State Games, Prep Baseball Future Games, and more.
Today we release our 2028 Quick Hits, detailing scouting notes on standout 2028 graduates from the event. Players are listed alphabetically by last name.
Several more of the top standout 2027's and 2028's were recently highlighted by Prep Baseball VP of Scouting Shooter Hunt in his Dandy Dozen - PNW Underclassmen article, which can be read here.

Top 10 prospect in the state for class
Strength throughout frame. Took aggressive hacks in BP with a line drive, middle of the field approach. Peak EV 97.2 mph
Defensively has exceptional arm strength & is an above average C with ability to… pic.twitter.com/U05c3Hs5NF
INF/RHP Noah Chong (Bellevue Christian, WA)
Another top-10 ranked prospect that showed well in Centralia. Larger frame generated some of the better results in the class in BP rounds, peaking with a 96.8 MPH exit velocity and max batted ball distance of 371 feet. Repeatable delivery on the mound with true starter feel, flashed a three-pitch mix for strikes. FB peaked at 80 MPH with a SL/CH offspeed combination. Arm strength translates to the infield, likely to stick at a corner spot.
RHP/INF Casey French (Chiawana, WA)
Among the most impressive showings from a freshman on the mound, with plenty of upside paired with present stuff. Lean, long-limbed 6'1 frame moves downhill with a 3/4 slot release giving some natural run to pitches. FB worked up to 84 MPH, sitting 80-83 throughout. CH produced similar fading action in the mid-70's and SL paired well as third offering. Also posted exit velocities up to 87.9 MPH at the plate. Arm to watch.
LHP/OF Ryker Hartlaub (Summit, OR)
Two-way player that is a top-10 ranked freshman in Oregon, showed well throughout the day. On the mound, featured a smooth lefty operation with a loose gloveside follow FB sat 80-83 MPH for strikes. Curveball showed bigger looping shape in the upper 60's, and CH played well off the fastball at 70-72 MPH. Also worked exit velocities into the low 90's from the left hand side, getting the ball in the air through most of BP rounds.
1B Cael Miller (Kentwood, WA)
Physical bat-first prospect that had a solid offensive showing metrically in Centralia. Moves strong, stockier frame well, with easy bat and hand speed naturally created. Utilizes the big part of the field. Peaked with a 95.5 MPH exit velocity, averaging 85.2 MPH. Can make the routine play defensively. Chance to make immediate varsity impact.
INF Marcus Pollard (Sunset, OR)
Another top-10 Oregon prospect for the freshman class that was in attendance. Smooth left-handed swing with some leverage created at contact. Peak batted ball distance of 319 feet, metrics should continue to trend upward as strength fills out. Solid athlete ran a 7.34 60 yard dash time. Frame to stick up the middle moving forward, with soft hands defensively. Player to watch.
C/INF Owen Price (Lake Washington, WA)
Freshman set several personal bests and has already made some nice strides since previous winter look. Balanced, slightly open base with easy-looking swing. Peak exit velocity of 91.5 MPH and best batted ball distance of 338 feet. 7.35 60-yard dash time. 2.10 pop times behind the plate can improve as arm strength develops. Was also up to 81 MPH on the mound with repeatable delivery and three-pitch mix.
C Hudson Schock (Eastside Catholic, WA)
Junior Future Game alum was on the barrel through BP rounds, maximizing frame with impressive 96.1 MPH max and 87.1 MPH average exit velocity. Some bat speed created, rotates quickly through the zone. 7.37 second 60-yard dash time. Mature pitch framer behind the plate with pop times just over 2 seconds. Chance to be an early contributor for Eastside Catholic this spring.
INF/RHP Brayden Seiber (Kennedy Catholic, WA)
Strong, athletic 6'1 frame with a sound all-around game. Leg-lift load kickstarts swing, keeps barrel through the zone with a lower finish. Peaked with a 94.7 MPH exit velocity and a max batted ball distance of 350 feet. On the barrel throughout. Drop and drive delivery on the mound, was in the zone with three pitch mix. FB sat 80-82 MPH, peaking at 82.3 MPH. 7.21 second runner as well. Intruiging follow.
RHP/INF Daniel Sleeter (Peninsula, WA)
Exciting bullpen showing with some upside at the plate as well. FB had plus spin rates, playing to the top of the zone at 82-84 MPH. Kills spin well with a CH at 73-75 MPH, as well as a shorter slider in the low 70's. Peak exit velocity at 90.3 MPH and a max batted ball distance of 341 feet at the plate. Arm strength translated to the infield, can stick on the left side moving forward.
RHP/INF Cameron Westerdahl (Sumner, WA)
Another Junior Future Games alum that had a solid showing throughout the day. Simple lefty stroke with direct barrel path led to consistent high 80's exit velocities and a peak batted ball distance of 321 feet. Works from abbreviated wind on the mound, working the FB up to 81 MPH with a CH/CB offspeed combination. CB shows promise with high-slot release. Corner INF type defensively.
