Scouting Report
7/25/17 - 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder with a lanky, athletic frame. Highly projectable, raw athleticism with present tools. Defensively has a long, loose arm action from a high ¾ slot. Plays thru the ball with a long exchange. Threw an event best 91 mph from the outfield. Arm strength could potentially play on the mound. Ran the 60 at 6.94. At the plate hits from a balanced setup with a leg lift stride and average balance. Pull hitter with raw bat speed. 89 mph exit velocity from a tee. One of the more intriguing prospects in the state.
OUTLOOK
Kroener is an intriguing athlete who shows quick twitch movements on the field and most eye catching with his arm. This summer at the Top Prospect - Milwaukee, Kroener showed an electric arm from the outfield topping at 91 mph and running a 6.94 in the 60. Intrigued by the 6-foot-2, 170-pound right-hander's arm strength, we let him throw a short bullpen on the side after the event and he showed an easy mid 80's fastball with good life. Something recruiters can definitely dream on for someone for has never pitched before.
