Updated Class of 2027 Player Rankings (December)

Throughout the fall we were all over the state, scouting numerous prospects and seeing many new names came to the forefront of the recruiting scene. With that information, we are updating each of our class rankings based off what we have seen. Next up is the Class of 2027.

As school gets underway and the fall sports season kicks off, we will take a look at "What's New at the Top", "Risers", "Sleepers" and a look some of the top uncommitted prospects by position, and a close look at the Top 10.

What’s New In The Top 10

The 2027 class in New England has a chance to be special, particularly on the mound. The class should garner a ton of national recruiting attention and MLB presence as the time arrives for them in two years. We look forward to watching them grow and following them through their high school and travel ball journey. 

  • Kaiden McCarthy, comes in at the top spot, the hard throwing right-hander is one of the better arms in the US.
  • Seamus Keller, long and projectable right-hander, lands at #2 in the ranking.
  • Brady Collins, athletic and versatile right-handed hitter. He profiles behind the dish but can play multiple spots on the diamond. He is our 3rd ranked player
  • Andrew Valentino, potential two way buy, as he plays shortstop and pitches. The ability on the mound stands out the most to date. He is ranked 4th in our rankings.
  • Hunter Finck, out of Maine, come in at the 5th spot. He is quick-armed right-hander.
  • Jackson Fulginite is another right-hander with above average stuff. He checks in at 6th.
  • Lucas Sarno, athletic right-handed hitting shortstop. His best days are in front of him as he is our 7th ranked player. 

The Risers

  • Jack Frostholm, big and athletic right-handed hitter. The measurables are above average.
  • Jake Boguniecki, good looking right-handed hitting middle infielder. Shows plus hand speed at the dish.
  • Jameson Gray, projectable left-handed pitcher, his future is bright.
  • Tristan Lucier, Left-handed hitting outfielder. The bat has life and he shows good athleticism.
  • Harry Jones, Athletic right-handed sitting in the mid 80’s with more to come.
  • Coby Dagata, a right-handed pitcher, tons of projection at 6-foot-6, fastball is 88-90 mph, feel for both secondary pitches.
  • Jacob Budarz, a right-handed hitter, has a major feel for hitting with power.
  • Damian Webb, a monster right-handed pitcher, upper 80’s arm, raw with loads of projection.

Sleepers

  • Max Mandler, quick armed right-hander shows the makings of a plus spin pitch as well.
  • Jun An, strong and athletic right-handed hitting corner infielder. He profiles to be a middle of the order bat.
  • Noah Fullerton, athletic infielder who shows a feel for the glove and the bat.
  • Trent Holst, right-hander who shows a good feel for pitching. Keep an eye on him.
  • Mikey O’Keefe, left-handed hitting infielder. The bat has a chance to be legit as he matures in age.
  • Jack Fischer, a rangy right-handed hitting infielder, with good actions, has a chance off the mound as well.
  • Dylan Chamberland, a left-handed hitter, shows an advanced approach, with some pop.
  • Bruce Schlegelmilch, a right-handed hitter, raw with tons of strength, speed and pop.
  • Braydeon Jagoe, a right-handed hitter, is super athletic, can play all over the field.
  • Cooper Saunders, an athletic right-handed hitting outfielder, showing electric actions.

Below we look to name the top 5 prospects in specific categories based on primary position in profile for the 2027 class rankings. Beyond this group, there are numerous prospects that can help a collegiate program in some capacity.
