2026 OUTLOOK

+ Center Hill enters the 2026 season looking to take a step forward after a 10–18 campaign, returning a young but athletic core with several pieces positioned for expanded roles. Under head coach Peyton Callahan, the Mustangs bring back key contributors on both sides of the ball while integrating a group of underclassmen who add upside and long-term depth as they compete in Class 6A Region 1.

Offensively, the lineup is led by Deshann Hannah (2026), an athletic outfield presence who provides energy at the top of the order and defensive range in the grass. Rico Suber (2027) gives Center Hill versatility on the infield while also offering two-way value on the mound, projecting as a player capable of impacting the game in multiple phases. Behind the plate, Grayson Doss (2028) returns after gaining valuable varsity experience as an underclassman, bringing a developing offensive profile and the ability to manage the pitching staff.

On the mound, the Mustangs will lean on Cohen Mathews (2028), a young arm expected to take on a larger workload this spring. Mathews provides a projectable profile and represents an important piece in shaping the identity of the staff moving forward. Ty Hogan (2026) adds another option as a corner bat with pitching ability, while Landon Ballard (2027) brings infield versatility and two-way potential.

Additional depth comes from Easton Hughes, who joins Doss and Mathews as part of the next wave of Mustangs talent pushing for meaningful varsity reps. This underclass group adds athleticism and competition throughout the roster as Center Hill continues to build toward the future.

With returning contributors in the lineup, emerging arms on the mound, and a growing underclass presence, Center Hill enters 2026 focused on development and consistency. If the Mustangs can solidify roles on the mound and continue to mature offensively, they have the building blocks in place to make progress in a competitive 6A Region 1.
