Whether it's a flamethrower lighting up the radar gun in Philly, a smooth-swinging shortstop making noise in North Jersey, or a sleeper prospect turning heads in upstate New York, we’re here to highlight the talent that’s shaping the future of baseball in the Northeast.

Each week, we’ll deliver scouting insights and player write-ups to get a better understanding of the great talent that surrounds us. In this region, the grind is real, the ceilings are high, and the buzz is just getting started.

Week of 1/19/26

Jonah Carbon OF / LHP / DePaul Catholic, NJ / 2027

The North Jersey product is a sweet swinging left-handed hitting outfielder. Carbon boasts a lean, athletic frame of 5-foot-10, 186-pounds. He is a 7.20 runner with a peak sprint speed at 19.3 mph and a 4.02 30-yard dash. From the outfield, the left-handed thrower made accurate throws to third base with an arm strength up to 83 mph. Offensively, he produced a max exit velocity of 94.3 mph, an average exit velocity of 87.4 mph, and a max distance of 339 feet.

Aiden Luccarelli OF / RHP / Scotch Plains-Fanwood, NJ / 2027

Luccarelli is a 6-foot, 175-pound outfielder with well-above athleticism and straight-line speed. This winter in his Prep Baseball debut, he was an event leader with a 6.75 sixty-yard dash and an arm strength of 85 mph from the outfield. Offensively, he flashed a 91.5 max exit velocity with an efficient swing that works through the zone well. Intriguing athlete to follow.

JD Amoroso SS / OF / The Episcopal Academy, PA / 2027

Amoroso is a physical middle-infielder with defensive versatility and a bat that belongs in the top of a batting lineup. His 84 mph and 89 mph arm strength from the infield and outfield are standout metrics that help Amoroso separate himself from the pack. Offensively, he flashed a 91.6 mph exit velocity with a high contact swing and good feel for the barrel.

Vincent Leoni LHP / 1B / Bishop Mcdevitt High School, PA / 2028

Leoni is a left-handed pitcher that has been making impressive progress since we last saw him. He is the ultimate strike thrower with a zone percentage over 50 percent on all three of his pitches. He has flashed a fastball at 83-86 mph, a slider at 68-70 mph, and a changeup at 69-71 mph. A left-handed pitcher to keep an eye on.

Teagan Cardona OF / 3B / Wellington C Mepham High School, NY / 2027

Pop in the bat with natural lift and carry through the middle and pull side. Easy bat speed that plays in game. Arm strength up to 85 mph from the outfield. Will get a look at his offseason gains at the Long Island Preseason ID on Feb. 20.

Christian Martin OF / RHP / Putnam Valley, NY / 2027

Fluid left-handed hitter with natural lift and pull-side juice. Looking forward to seeing the offseason gains translate this at the Downstate Preseason ID Feb. 19.
