TEAM OUTLOOK
Calabasas enters the 2026 season coming off a solid 17–12 campaign and a CIF Southern Section Division 3 Playoff appearance under head coach Thomas Cassidy. With five returning starters and five returning pitchers, the Coyotes will look to rely on their strong pitching staff to stay competitive in tight games and control the tempo throughout the spring. The combination of experience and depth gives this staff the flexibility to mix and match roles as the season unfolds.
The senior class features OF Nathan Rosenfeld (2026), who is a dynamic athlete and will man CF for the Coyotes, while INF Trevor Chang (2027) continues to develop as a steady infield presence with upside at the plate. On the mound, 2026 college commits RHP Luke Szymanski (DeSales University) and RHP Jackson Claudio (Erskine College) headline the pitching staff, providing proven innings and composure on the mound. Their ability to handle starts and leverage situations should be a major asset for the Coyotes.
Looking ahead, a talented group of underclassmen adds intrigue and long-term depth. RHP Jayden Singer (2028) gives Calabasas another arm to develop, while INF Auron Blackledge (2028) and 3B/RHP/C Conner Kingston (2028) provide versatility across the infield and behind the dish. If the lineup can produce timely offense behind its pitching strength, Calabasas has the pieces to improve on last season’s results and make a strong push in 2026.
Quote from the Coach
“We are a young, but talented team that should be competitive throughout the season.”
