TEAM OUTLOOK
It was a rebuilding year last season for Coach Brown and the Wolverines where they missed the playoffs by one game, and gained valuable experience by starting five sophomores at times. Leading the way on the mound is uncommitted senior RHP Sullivan Aita who is coming off first team all region honors and will be a fixture in the rotation as he anchors the staff as SP1. High-floor tools litter the profile for Columbus State commit INF/RHP Hunter Reese as he paces the offense and provides a consistent glove on the left side of the dirt to match. Along with offering value on the mound. Junior OF Heath Ward will set the tone as he brings high-level bat-to-ball skills to the top. 2028 3B Leo Guollo is armed with big-time strength and projection in a physical 6-foot-3 frame, and will be tasked with a huge role in the heart of the lineup. The x-factor for this club could be 2029 C/OF/RHP Hudson Bradford who has performed in every setting as he boasts loud tools on both sides of the ball with plenty of upside. The freshman will be looked upon as a key piece near the top-of-the-order along with filling a multitude of roles defensively and on the mound. A pair of uncommitted juniors, RHP/INF Truett Hardy and 1B/RHP Brayden Bially will carry two-way value as they follow Aita in the rotation and look to supply consistency to the lineup. Uncommitted senior RHP Ethan May brings invaluable experience as he carried a high-leverage role in the bullpen a season ago with deception from a low sidearm slot. A trio of seniors round out the lineup including DH Preston Sudbury, OF Lucas Foisy, and OF Matthew McKay who provide depth and program experience to the offense. More underclass impact could come from names including 2028 OF Caleb Vigna, 2028 OF/RHP Ben Spilker, 2028 LHP Zayne Landy, 2029 C/RHP Jack Nichols, and 2029 OF/LHP Aiden Moulder who all look to breakthrough and see quality time. The rebuild is over for Woodstock as they return experienced juniors and seniors to pair with young talent that should have them back to competing for a region title, and in the playoff mix.
