The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season, and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Florida.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the FHSAA state championships, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Florida. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and releasing our preseason top-25 rankings in the state.

Each week, we will be releasing our Players of the Week, as well as updating our Power 25 overall rankings.

“Fresh off their 4th straight District Championship, the Eagles return a great deal of talent that should make them contenders to pick up their 5th consecutive district title and a potential deep playoff run. The Eagles' strength is their pitching, headlined by junior lefties Anthony Iatarola (Stetson commit) and transfer Christopher Glover (FIU commit). Seniors Junior Jacquez (Warner University commit), Revy Gomez, Brayden Abdon, and junior Reece Bowman will also look to get significant innings on the mound as well. Offensively, the Eagles will be led by Iatarola, Glover, and Abdon. Juniors Jose Negron Ortiz and Ryne Mullen should factor in heavily, as well as highly touted sophomores Kamauri Wilson and Deniel Gonzalez.
