2026 OUTLOOK
+ Forrest County Agricultural enters the 2026 season looking to build on a 16–13 finish and a second-round playoff appearance in Class 4A, returning a competitive core with proven production and a strong wave of young talent. Under head coach Ryan Jackson, the Aggies bring back impact bats in the middle of the order and multiple arms capable of handling innings, giving the program a solid foundation as it competes in District 8.
Offensively, the lineup is led by catcher/right-hander Landyn Anderson, who returns after a standout season in which he hit .400. Anderson’s ability to control the game behind the plate while also anchoring the lineup makes him a focal point on both sides of the ball. Parks Brock provides another consistent presence, hitting .387 a year ago while adding left-handed balance at first base and value on the mound. His versatility allows the Aggies to mix matchups offensively while maintaining flexibility in the pitching rotation. Freshman standout Lee Roberts III showed early varsity impact by hitting .278 in his first season, projecting as a long-term cornerstone with two-way upside at the corner infield spots.
On the mound, Forrest County A&M returns a deep group of arms that should keep the Aggies competitive throughout the spring. Anderson and Brock headline the staff, while Trip Carpenter, Zack Gibson, and Roberts give the rotation multiple looks and the ability to manage innings across a full schedule. Gibson, in particular, is a name to follow in the 2027 class as he continues to develop and take on a larger role within the staff.
The next wave of Aggies talent is already pushing forward. Sean Walker brings athleticism to the outfield, while Kayson Walker adds middle-infield depth with a projectable skill set. Abram McQueen, a 2030 utility piece, represents the long-term depth and continued development within the program.
With returning offensive production, a versatile pitching staff, and a growing group of underclass contributors, Forrest County Agricultural enters 2026 as a balanced and competitive club. If the Aggies continue to get consistent production from their top bats and solidify roles on the mound, they have the pieces in place to make another postseason run in Class 4A.
