2026 OUTLOOK

+ Halls enters the 2026 season looking to build on a solid 20–13 campaign from a year ago, returning a veteran core that logged meaningful varsity innings and at-bats in Class 4A. Under head coach Ryan Gentry, the Red Devils bring back a blend of college-committed talent, physical middle-of-the-order bats, and an emerging underclass group that gives the program both short-term competitiveness and long-term upside as they navigate District 3 play.

Offensively, Halls is anchored by a strong senior-led nucleus. Colby Comparato (2026, Carson-Newman) provides stability and experience in the middle infield, bringing a reliable offensive approach and defensive consistency at second base. Dylan Bowser (2026, UT-Southern) gives the lineup a physical presence at first base, projecting as a run-producing bat capable of anchoring the heart of the order. Amari Lethgo (2026) is a key two-way piece for the Red Devils, offering versatility behind the plate and in the infield while also contributing offensively with strength and maturity at the plate. Cooper Faust (2026) adds athleticism and speed to the outfield, creating lineup balance and defensive range while providing pressure on opposing defenses.

On the mound, Halls returns a pair of arms that will be leaned on heavily early in the spring. Fisher Green is a name to follow closely, bringing projection and upside as he continues to develop into a reliable varsity arm while also factoring into the lineup defensively. Lethgo gives the staff another dependable option capable of handling innings and competing in key situations, allowing the Red Devils to mix and match roles depending on matchups.

The future of the program is well represented by an impactful underclass group that will be asked to contribute right away. Fisher Green (2028) headlines that class as a shortstop/pitcher with advanced feel for the game and two-way upside. Ethan Ogle (2028) adds depth behind the plate and projects as a reliable defensive catcher with room to grow offensively. Brayden Jones (2028) brings athleticism to the outfield mix, while Bryce McCarty (2028) provides additional versatility as a pitcher and infielder. Roman Dunn (2029) rounds out the group as a young arm with long-term projection and developmental upside.

With experienced seniors leading the way, a versatile pitching staff, and a promising underclass foundation pushing into larger roles, Halls enters 2026 as a competitive and balanced club in Class 4A. If the Red Devils can get consistent production from their core bats and continue to develop depth on the mound, they have the pieces in place to take another step forward and make noise in District 3 play this spring.
