2026 OUTLOOK
+ Tylertown enters the 2026 season in a growth phase after a 9–12 finish in 3A and missing the postseason a year ago, but the foundation is in place for meaningful improvement. Under head coach Andy Davis, the Chiefs return a competitive core of multi-sport, two-way athletes who gained valuable varsity experience in 2025, positioning the program to take a step forward in Region 8 play.
The lineup is anchored by shortstop/right-hander Jordan Williams (2026), the team’s most complete player and unquestioned leader. Williams impacts the game in all phases, providing stability in the middle infield while also serving as the go-to arm on the mound. His ability to set the tone defensively, contribute offensively, and handle high-leverage innings makes him the centerpiece of the Chiefs’ roster and a key driver of their success this spring.
At the hot corner, Harper Kenny (2027) brings a physical presence and legitimate two-way value. Kenny led the team in RBIs last season, consistently driving the baseball and showing emerging power as a run producer in the middle of the order. His ability to contribute offensively while also providing innings on the mound gives Tylertown flexibility and matchup options as the season unfolds.
Behind the plate, Martin Quinn Jr. (2027) provides stability and leadership. A strong defensive catcher, Quinn handles the pitching staff well and brings power potential to the lineup, giving the Chiefs a reliable presence at a premium position. First baseman Mar’Tyreon Holmes (2027) adds size and strength to the heart of the order, projecting as a middle-of-the-lineup bat capable of changing the game with one swing.
The athleticism in the outfield is another strength. Anthony Magee Jr. (2027) brings speed and defensive range, while Sean Holmes (2026) offers experience and leadership, helping solidify the group defensively. Robert Jackson (2026) adds versatility as a middle infielder who can also provide quality innings on the mound, further strengthening the Chiefs’ two-way depth. Jaylen Caston (2030) is a young, high-upside athlete whose speed and advanced baseball IQ already stand out, representing the next wave of talent within the program.
On the mound, Tylertown will again lean on Williams as the primary arm, with Kenny and Jackson providing additional coverage. That trio gives the Chiefs a competitive core of arms capable of handling meaningful innings as they look to stay in games and build consistency throughout the spring.
With improved depth, experienced leadership, and several players capable of impacting the game on both sides of the ball, Tylertown enters 2026 with the pieces in place to take a step forward. If the Chiefs continue to develop offensive consistency and solidify roles on the mound, they have the potential to be a much more competitive club in Class 3A and push toward postseason contention.
