We decided to continue our weekly 'Recruiting Roundup' series, where we continue to highlight the prospects that committed to a collegiate program during the week. From 8/05/25: “RHP Alex Arens (Glenbard North, 2026) is a physical 6-foot-3, 220-pound right-handed pitcher to follow in the 2026 class. Up-tempo drop-and-drive delivery with slight cross-fire from a low ¾ slot. Arens utilized two different fastball shapes to miss batters' barrels. The 4-seam fastball sat 81-85 mph playing up in the zone from the lower slot. The sinker sat 80-83 mph with significant sink (avg. 5.7 IVB) and ASR (avg. 17 HM) inducing ground balls. Mixed in a slider with cut-shape generating swing-and-miss at 72-73 mph.”
