2026 High School Team Preview: North Oconee Titans

The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Georgia.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the GHSA or GIAA state playoffs, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Georgia. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and by continuing our scheduled podcasts and releasing our preseason top-10 rankings in each GHSA classification and Power 25.

Each week we will be releasing our Players of the Week, updating the top-10 ranks in each GHSA classification, as well updating our Power 25 overall rankings. One thing, especially, you don’t want to miss are our scheduled podcasts with guests from across the state, as well as the recaps and previews of the big games we’re covering.

TEAM OUTLOOK

With one of the most experienced rosters (13 seniors) and deepest pitching staffs in all of 4A baseball, Coach Bounds and the Titans have an excellent chance to improve on the strong 27-win season from a year ago. Former Future Gamer and Kennesaw State commit, senior RHP Wyatt Bull has a chance to step into the SP1 role and build off that 2nd-team All-State selection from last spring with high-level pitchability and swing-and-miss curveball. A trio of committed juniors will likely fill out the rotation behind Bull and offer immense upside in the likes of RHPs Ryan Trout (UCF), Patrick Hassan (NWFL), and LHP Will Richardson (Alabama), who might have the most intrigue heading into the spring after making big jumps this past fall. Seniors litter the lineup with C Landyn Dykes and SS Connor O’Mara being main focal points in the offense alongside OBP-machine 2B Carter Moon, who always keeps the train moving. It keeps going with the uncommitted senior outfield duo of Peyton Little and Luke Burnett returning to buoy the outfield and bring the experience to handle the stretch run. The Titans are no stranger to handling the rigors of 4A that include the likes of Blessed Trinity, Cartersville, Houston County, Marist, among others and could be poised to make a run back to Coolray Field for the first time since 2023.
