As we move through the offseason, Prep Baseball Oregon continues our series of State Games Spotlights. This series aims to highlight standout performers at our top invite-only 2025 PNW State Games event. Prep Baseball spotlights aim to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.

Today, we spotlight '27 C Gavin Thaut. The West Linn product had a productive spring before securing an invite to State Games this summer, where he showed well across the three day event.

Thaut's showcase was highlighted by a 2.03 pop time, a 7.1 60-time and exit velocities into the low 90's from the left side. Below is a complete look at the junior, including stats and video from this year.
