As we are nearing the end of another calendar year, we have compiled a list of the top 25 most viewed Indiana player profiles this year.  According to our research through our google analytics, these are the most viewed profiles by you the reader in 2025.

Coming in at No. 25 is ’25 RHP Parker Rhodes (Greenfield-Central HS). The 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-hander put together a dominant senior campaign, striking out 88 batters across 45 innings while allowing just 18 walks. His spring performance earned him a spot on the Prep Baseball 4A All-State Team, and it’s easy to see why he drew significant attention from fans and evaluators alike. Rhodes consistently flashed elite arm talent, touching 97 mph multiple times, and ultimately chose to continue his career at SEC power Mississippi State. He was also recognized nationally, checking in at No. 36 on the Prep Baseball Draft HQ “Top 100 On Campus” list.

Parker Rhodes Spotlight

Scouting Report

5/27/25

Second Look : I walk away from my second look on Rhodes with the same concerns as the first, there is average control and average life to the fastball, however I am still bullish on the mover/athlete. It is the easiest velocity in the class, as he pitched at 95-96 T 97 in the first before settling at 93-95 throughout most of the outing. I've heard reports of 98 throughout the spring and there is still enough projection to be bullish on more in the tank. He threw a couple cutters in the upper-80s and showed the CH in warmups, the CH is more of a chase pitch but it does play with above average action and likely trends further as he gains more experience with it in a game setting. The pitch selection was questionable in this outing, using ~50% sliders in this look. The slider played at 81-84 with flashes of a real bite and I walk away comfortable with the future 60 I put on it earlier in the spring. In my mind, Rhodes is pushing Flores for the No. 2 righty in the class. The Flores breaking ball is better than any pitch Rhodes has, but I do believe there is more projection to Parker, and also a better chance of ending up as a SP long term.

+ Rhodes showed excellent offseason gains at this event - trending nicely as he heads into his draft season. The 6-foot-1, loose, wiry, 185 pounder averaged 96.7 on his 4S fastball, topping out at 97 mph. The fastball comes out with life and he can sink it at 95, and the sinker properties suggest it's his best fastball. The slider played with tight, side-to-side action at 82-85, but his 88-89 kick-change was my favorite offspeed offering, falling off the table late with fade. The change is a potential plus in the bag and he rounded out a 5-pitch mix with an 88-89 cutter. Rhodes is a technician that can pitch to all quadrants. The arm speed is electric & he has some of the best control amongst the right-handed arms in the class. This Mississippi State recruit will likely have a backstop filled with scouts at his starts this spring & could continue to grab helium leading up to July.

Electric - that is the one word the comes to mind when describing Parker Rhodes. Wiry & athletic within a 6-foot-1, 175 pound frame, Rhodes tossed a well-executed bullpen with an arsenal full of swing-and-miss offerings. The fastball works with carry properties (16.6" avg IVB) from a low 3/4 slot (5'1" release height) at 93-94, touching 94.6 mph. The Xavier recruit showed outstanding command for spin, showing a firmer, tightly-spun slider at 84-85, along with a softer 81-82 mph curveball with similiar properties. The changeup has taken a real step up, working at 85-86 mph with a similar look to the fastball out of the hand. The arm action is electric - a loose, whippy sling with real arm speed, and his delivery is dynamic and full of athleticism. Look for Rhodes to continue to trend near the top of the class, with a chance to establish himself as a prep draft prospect.
