Overall Summary

North Kitsap enters the 2026 season with lofty expectations after returning most of their core from a state quarterfinals appearance last spring. The Vikings will be anchored by their pitching, headlined at the top by senior RHP and Oregon commit Dawsyn Anderson. The 8th ranked player in Washington's 2026 class features an electric fastball into the low-90's with a dominant 4-pitch mix overall. Senior Jonathan Bourque and junior Jack Nelson are other reliable options on the mound. Junior Marcus Kim is a talented righty with a fastball into the mid-upper 80's. If all four pitchers have their "A" stuff, few teams will be able to match the pitching depth. The lineup features plenty of experience and potential as well. Senior and Lower Columbia commit Spencer Gillespie returns after a strong junior campaign, with some pop at the plate in an athletic 6'2 frame. Senior OF Noah Wendt could be poised to take a step forward after a great showing at a Prep Baseball event last fall. Kitsap may also see a new face take over at the catcher position in sophomore Teague Weible. The 6'2 sophomore showed well at last fall's West Coast Super Sophomore Games, displaying low-90's exit velocities and a 1.86 second pop time. Weible is a mature player despite his underclass status and should be able to handle NK's high-velocity arms. Head coach Jeff Weible is circling North Kitsap's CBNI tournament in Arizona and games with Bainbridge as key matchups this spring. Look for the Vikings to make big time noise at the 2A level this season.
