Washington Uncommitted Spotlight - '26 OF Jakob Fowler

As we conclude the summer showcase season, Prep Baseball Washington features an Uncommitted Spotlight, where we highlight standout performers that attended a Prep Baseball ID event this year. Uncommitted spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.
This week, we spotlight '26 OF Jakob Fowler. The senior out of Kings High School was seen most recently at the Seattle Summer ID - Session II at Bannerwood Park this July.
A potent RH bat with present power, Fowler's showcase was highlighted by exit velocities up to 99.8 MPH as well as sound defense with throws up to 82 MPH in the outfield. Below is a complete breakdown of the player, including scouting reports and video from the event.

Hit: RHH. Loose hands pre-pitch with barrel stacked over rear shoulder. Knees rotated inward with square lower half in stance. Hands retract with stride that widens base. Weight stays stacked over rear leg. Carries a heavier barrel through the zone with strength in levers. Slight uphill path with whippy two-handed finish. 68.9 mph bat speed with 18 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 100 max exit velocity, averaged 88.8 mph. 362' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-82 mph. Longer arm action into 3/4 slot throws and tucked gloveside follow.
