2025 MSHSAA Team Preview: Rockwood Summit Falcons
February 27, 2025
The Missouri high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 14, opening day for regular season action under MSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Missouri Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.
Our 2025 preseason coverage continues today.
Head Coach: Jason Schneider (10 years)
Classification: 5A
2024 Record (Finish): 22-11 (Lost in quarterfinals to Fort Zumwalt South)
2025 SEASON OUTLOOK
No. of Returning Position Players: 6
No. of Returning Pitchers: 7
Top Returners:
- C/DH Jackson Miller (2025; Quincy) - 6'1", 195, L/R
- Has a ton of pop, the ball comes off his bat differently than others
- 3B/MIF/P Wyatt Schneider (2026) - 5'10", 175, R/R
- One of the top 2026's in the area for sure
- SS/CF Kaden Dinges (2026) - 6'0", 175, R/R
- Is primed for a break out year. He is an absolute play maker on defense and running bases.
- OF/P Gabriel Sieve (2025; Missouri Southern) - 6'0", 175, R/R
- Should be at the top of our rotation this year. Had a good year hitting last year too.
- P/OF Zach Halim (2025; Wallace CC-Dothan) - 6'2, 185, L/L
- Had a great Jr year on the bump and should be a top arm for us this year
Key Players Lost:
- Tyler Metz (Emporia St.)
- Logan Darnell (Mississippi Valley St)
Coach’s Insight: “We have a lot of arms coming back that logged many quality innings last year. We also have a gold glove caliber catcher behind the dish. He threw out 40% of runners trying to swipe bases. We also have a couple Juniors who have started on Varsity since their Freshmen year. One of them is Wyatt Schneider, who led the team in AVG and OPS last year and the other is Kaden Dinges, who has started at SS the last two seasons. The biggest questions going into the season is can we stay healthy and who will be our leaders this season.” – Jason Schneider, head coach
