The Hotlist: Rising Seniors Still On The Recruiting Market

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

The summer season is well underway and much of the focus is on the 2015 class. Many rising seniors have already made verbal commitments, but there are still plenty of available recruits out there with talent. This week’s Hotlist highlights some members of the 2015 class that have stood out in early summer events.

Calvin Blish, RHP/1B, Elmira HS, NY
Blish is a big-bodied, two-way player, standing at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds. At New York’s first event, he consistently squared the ball up and showed power to his pull side. He moves well at first base and showed a strong arm that translated to the mound as well. He sat 87-88 mph with a curveball that ranged from 71-75. His mechanics have some funk, but it works for him.
