2028

Cooper LeRoy RHP / OF / Perry, AZ / 2028

There are not many 16 year olds in the country doing what Cooper is doing right now. The 6'4 188 pound right hander looks the part of a frontline arm with long levers, athleticism, and real ease in the delivery. The fastball worked 92 to 94 mph and comes out clean with life through the zone. He stays on line, repeats well, and lets the arm work freely from a 3/4 slot without overthrowing. The slider at 75 to 79 mph with over 2200 rpm continues to show sharpness and projects as a true swing and miss pitch off the heater.

The bat is just as impressive. Cooper produced a 107.4 mph max exit velocity with a 95.2 mph average, showing real strength and impact from the right side. The swing is loose and explosive with present bat speed up to 78.9 mph, and when he gets extended the ball carries with authority. Add in 95 mph from the outfield and you are looking at one of the premier two way prospects in the country in the 2028 class.

The ranking reflects it. This is a high end talent with real upside and a profile that continues to trend up.

Highlights:

Chase Fillman OF / LHP / Millennium, AZ / 2028

Chase continues to look like one of the more physically imposing and impactful left handed bats in the 2028 class. At 6'0 215 pounds, the strength is obvious, and the ball jumps off his bat to all fields. He produced a 106.2 mph max exit velocity with a 99.5 mph average with 408 ft. max distance, which was among the loudest rounds of both days. The swing is built around present strength and real bat speed, running up to 80.6 mph, and he does a great job of staying balanced with a controlled, smooth yet violent leftly stroke.

The athleticism is trending as well. A 7.10 runner with 92 mph from the outfield and 90 across the infield, Chase moves better than most players at his size and gives himself defensive versatility both in the dirt and on the grass.

On the mound, the lefty has been up to 90.9 mph and continues to show true two way upside. The fastball is heavy and with his physicality and competitiveness, there is still more in the tank as he continues to develop.

Chase looks every bit like a top tier in national talent in the 2028 class with loud tools and real upside on both sides of the ball.

Jackson Clarke RHP / OF / Estrella Foothills, AZ / 2028

Jackson quietly put together one of the more polished outings of the day on the mound. The right hander worked 82 to 87 mph and touched 87.1 with a fastball that showed over 2000 rpm and consistent strike throwing ability. He stays under control throughout the delivery, repeats well, and competes in the zone with confidence beyond his age. There is rhythm to the operation and a clean arm from a 3/4 slot that suggests more velocity coming as the frame continues to add strength.

The secondary mix is advanced for a 2028. He showed feel for both a changeup at 79 to 80 mph and two breaking balls, including a 71 to 72 mph curveball and a 74 to 75 mph slider. The ability to land multiple shapes for strikes and keep hitters off balance stood out, especially for a freshman class arm.

Jackson may not carry a ranking yet, but the pitchability, strike throwing, and trending stuff make him a clear follow in the 2028 class as he continues to develop physically.

Highlights:

Ryder Bell LHP / OF / Hamilton, AZ / 2028

Ryder continues to show why left handed arms in this class need to be tracked closely. The 2028 lefty worked 84 to 86 mph and touched 86.4 with a fastball that played with nearly 2000 rpm and consistent life through the zone. He attacks with confidence, stays under control in the delivery, and competes in the strike zone with maturity. There is present feel for how to pitch, not just throw.

The breaking ball metrics were eye opening. Both the curveball at 70 to 71 mph and the slider at 68 to 71 mph spun over 2400 rpm, with the curveball nearing 2500 rpm. That kind of spin from the left side at this age is notable and gives him a real weapon to miss bats as he continues to refine shape and command. The changeup at 76 to 78 mph adds another layer and shows developing feel.

Ryder may not carry a ranking yet, but the velocity, spin profile, and competitiveness make him a strong follow in the 2028 class with clear upside as he continues to add strength.

The 2028 lefty worked 82 to 84 mph and touched 84.2 with a fastball that carries over 2000 rpm and plays well when he gets extension out front. There is still plenty of physical projection in the 5'10 160 pound frame, which makes the current velocity even more interesting.

The slider at 70 to 72 mph was the separator. Spinning at 2443 rpm, it shows sharpness and late action with real swing and miss potential, especially against same side hitters. The changeup at 73 to 74 mph continues to develop and gives him a third pitch to keep hitters honest.

Offensively, Oliver shows a compact left handed stroke with a 96.9 mph max exit velocity and a 92.3 mph average. The swing is simple and direct with feel for the barrel, and he adds value defensively with 88 mph from the outfield.

He repeats well, stays on line, and shows a calm presence on the mound with the ability to command the zone. The arm works clean from a 3/4 slot and there is clear projection left as the body matures.

As the frame continues to add strength, there is room for another jump in impact.

Behind the plate, Beau recorded pop times between 1.93 and 2.07 with a 77 mph arm, showing quick feet and a clean transfer. The actions are athletic and controlled, and he competes on every rep. That same athleticism allows him to handle the dirt as well, giving him true defensive versatility.

On the mound, he worked up to 81 mph with the fastball and showed feel for a breaking ball and changeup, adding to the overall two way value. Beau is a strong developmental follow in the 2029 class with athleticism, versatility, and competitive makeup that continues to trend.

Caleb Smith SS / RHP / Williams Field, AZ / 2029

Caleb profiles as a pitcher first prospect in the 2029 class and continues to show why he sits inside the top 200 nationally. The 6'0 167 pound right hander worked 83 to 84.5 mph with a fastball averaging over 2100 rpm. The arm works cleanly with solid direction down the mound, and he shows the ability to fill up the strike zone. There is still plenty of room to add strength to the frame, which points to more velocity coming.

The secondary mix is well rounded for his age. He showed feel for both a slider and curveball in the upper 60s to low 70s with spin around 2000 rpm, along with a changeup at 72 to 73 mph that plays well off the fastball. The ability to throw multiple pitches for strikes stands out and gives him starter traits moving forward.

Defensively, Caleb showed 83 mph across the infield with steady actions, but the long term upside leans toward the mound with the way the arm works and the pitchability continues to trend.

Caleb remains one of the more promising right handed arms in the 2029 class in Arizona with clear upside as the body continues to mature.

Highlights:
FB 83 to 84.5 mph | 2109 avg spin | SL 70 to 72 mph | CH 72 to 73 mph | 83 mph INF velo
