From the ProCase to the Super 60
January 7, 2026
Our annual ProCase has become one of the premier events of the year. This event allows us to get players in front of Major League scouts. This also gives our staff one last look at some of the top talent in the state before the Super Sixty. Since our first ProCase, 2022, we have invited at least one standout to the Super 60. The Super 60 is a national event that takes place every year at The MAX in McCook. Last year, over 100 MLB scouts made their way to the Super 60 to watch players from across the country. Let's take a look at the seven players who have participated in both high-profile events.

CJ Deckinga 3B / OF / Minooka Community High School, IL / 2025From 2/03/25: “Super 60: Deckinga once again shined on a national stage, coming in as somewhat of a “sleeper” and exiting as one of its biggest winners - first at the Future Games and now again at the Super 60. The pure upside he possesses in his wide-shouldered, young looking 6-foot-4, 200-pound frame is enough to get scouts excited, but he further added to his stock with his strong all-around showing Sunday. He started things out with a 6.77 in the 60-yard dash, using little perceived effort and long strides. On top of that, he had the fourth highest peak jump height with a 31” vertical - also performing extremely well in the RSI jump test. His rounds of BP were some of the best on the day, working hard on the barrel with easy jump off the bat and big upside in the operation. Using a wood bat, he averaged 94.3 mph and reached up to 102.3 mph, sending his furthest ball 381’. The hand-speed (22.6 mph avg.) and bat-speed (76.1 mph avg.) also stood out among some of the best players in the country. Deckinga also shined on the other side of the ball, boasting confident hands with natural actions and the ability to move laterally with ease. Deckinga seemingly gets better with each look, and he is a must-follow name heading into this spring.” |

Enzo Infelise C / 3B / Providence Catholic, IL / 2025From 2/03/25: “Super 60: Similar to Deckinga, Infelise earned his invite to the Super 60 after an eye-opening showing at the ProCase the Wednesday before, and we’re glad we brought him. He’s long been one of the top hitters in the midwest, boasting a dynamic mix of polish and raw power, and that was on full display yesterday with an average EV of 94.7 mph (104 mph max EV) - though he was up to 106.4 mph at the ProCase. He showed an impressive ability to sync up and get into great positions, while also using the whole field with authority and some ease - averaging 21.5 mph for his hand-speed and 76.5 mph for his bat-speed. He has a premium arm behind the plate, recording the second-hardest throw to second at 85 mph - though he led the event with a 1.87 pop-time. Infelise will surely be one, if not the most dangerous bat in Illinois this spring, and he’s a must-follow for pro scouts as well.” |

Aidan Hayse RHP / SS / Joliet Catholic, IL / 2024From 2/15/24: “SUPER 60: Tennessee commit. The 6-foot-3, 193-pound, athletic, right-handed pitcher has been one of the better movers in the class for some time now and after a dynamic performance at the Preseason ProCase in Illinois, Hayse earned an invite to the Super 60. Despite how impressive his bullpen was at the Super 60, he seemed slightly more crisp and sharper (especially with his off-speed offerings) at the ProCase. With that said, Hayse moves athletically and with pace down the mound. The arm plays clean and ultra-quick out of a high ¾ slot with seemingly all kinds of velocity still in the tank. The fastball jumps out of the hand and plays lively through the zone, topping at 93.0 mph (T93.9 mph at the ProCase). He pairs the fastball with two above-average off-speed offerings, including a changeup that flashes plus arm-side action and sink at times while playing at 83-86 mph. The slider is thrown with arm speed and creates above-average spin and tight, late action; looks to be a potential swing-and-miss offering as he continues to harness the pitch and consistently land it in the zone. High follow arm in the 2024 class that should garner plenty of attention moving forward.” |

Cal Sefcik SS / 3B / Marist, IL / 2023From 2/05/23: “INF Cal Sefcik (Marist, 2023; Indiana commit) may have entered the event as somewhat of a “sleeper”, but we can guarantee that his name is now known among the scouting community. Currently ranked No. 14 in the state, No. 455 nationally. Sefcik has transformed himself into one of the more physical, if not the most physical, right-handed bat in the state. The 6-foot, 205-pound, muscle-bound, right-handed hitter, stole the show during BP, putting together perhaps the most impressive rounds of the day as he led the event in average exit velocity (101.9) and max exit velocity (107.1 mph), to go along with a max distance of 390’. Sefcik peppered the middle of the field with loud backspin and lifted contact, remaining on-time consistently throughout his rounds. The right-handed hitter starts with an open setup, striding long while hanging his foot to stay in rhythm, tipping his bat slightly while landing into foot-strike with hand-separation. His path stays through the zone and flat seemingly forever, creating all kinds of backspin and rise to his up-the-middle barrels. Sefick swings with controlled aggression and quick, ultra-strong hands (26.0 mph max; 24.8 mph average) with notable bat-speed (79.5 mph max; 74.9 mph average) to create eye-opening power. His round of defense was also quite impressive, as he showed off his range laterally to pair with quick/soft hands and an athletic, crisp double play turn. As a 6.90 runner in the 60, Sefcik proved that he is more than capable of staying on the infield moving forward and should be closely followed by scouts moving forward.” |

Victor Izquierdo 1B / C / Lockport, IL / 2022From 1/29/22: “6-foot-2, 210-pounds; broad-shouldered ultra-physical frame. The right-handed hitter turned in perhaps the most eye-opening round of BP on the day; starting in an open setup, slight knee-knock at times into a coiled upper-half, creating hand-separation at foot-strike while keeping a consistent rhythm. Utilizes controlled aggression through his swing with a max bat speed of 78.6 according to BLAST, uphill path through the zone with intent to lift baseball, produced backspin while routinely making loud contact (71.4 hard-hit percentage according to BLAST; 102 mph max exit velocity and 92.6 mph average exit velocity). Profiles as a true middle-of-the-order power bat with feel to hit. On the other side of the ball, Izquierdo shows natural actions with impressive athleticism, especially given his physical frame; demonstrating the ability to handle errant throws with ease and picking balls in the dirt consistently throughout the event. The Navy commit also showed athletic feet around the base with impressive flexibility on low throws, showing body control throughout all infield-actions. By far one of the day’s biggest winners and is a definite name to know for this coming spring.” |

Brayden Marks RHP / 3B / Elkhorn Area, WI / 2022From 1/29/22: “6-foot-6, 225-pounds; more physically defined since our last look, added strength and trimmed out. Showed an advanced four-pitch mix and starter profile moving forward. In tempo drop/drive type delivery, rides the backside, open-toed landing and finishes with intent with adept body control for size. Long and loose arm path that finishes out of a slightly elevated ¾ slot. Fastball sat 90-91 mph throughout, spun at an average rate of 2,457 rpm and did flash above-average vertical traits, too. Mixed in a hard-running sinker that he spotted down in the zone with late action and life. Lowers slot on changeup, played best to the arm-side of the plate off the sinker at 83-85 mph. Spun two breaking balls at a near 2,600 rpm average. Slider was thrown with clear conviction and intent from a lower arm slot at 77-80 mph, bullet-type spin and tighter shape. Curveball played at 75-77 mph, spun off an 11/5 plane with occasional sharp spin and more depth than slider. Size, ceiling, and polish equate to an intriguing draft follow both now and in the future.” |

Shai Robinson SS / Homewood-Flossmoor , IL / 2022From 1/29/22: “6-foot, 175-pound, high-waisted frame with plenty of more physical development to tap into down the road. Arguably the top defensive shortstop in the state. Plays with extreme ease, especially on the move with the ability to throw from any platform and do so accurately. Smooth, gliding range with advanced body control and high-level hands that play with supreme confidence and comfort. Arm plays naturally from a high ¾ slot and gets easy carry to his throws when he wants to show it off; topped at 88 mph across the diamond. Offensively, impressed the fall with more impactful contact and jump off the barrel. Showed much of the same at the ProCase. Loose, athletic right-handed swing, was consistently on time and peppered the middle of the field throughout most of his BP rounds. Line-drive oriented swing that flashes sneaky power to the pull-side. High-ceiling prospect who continues to improve every time we see him.” |
