Inland Empire Rising Stars ID: Preview Story

By: California Staff

This Sunday, March 30th, the Prep Baseball California team is hosting the Inland Empire Rising Stars ID at Corona High School in Corona, CA. This is an open event for all Rising Stars classes (2029-2030), and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

For a closer look at the showcase details and the technologies we'll have on-site to assist our in-person evaluation for all in attendance, click here.

RISING STARS EVENTS

This event has a dual function. For most participants, this will be their first showcase event - an initial step toward achieving a player’s baseball goals. Part of this event is educational: there will be a lecture about what scouts look for, how to comport themselves, what to expect in the recruiting process, and the overall landscape of playing at the next level. The second function of the event is to identify young talent, and at the same time getting valuable coaching in the showcase process. As the preeminent scouting service across our 40+ state coverage area, Prep Baseball is looking to identify promising young prospects at an earlier age so we can more accurately track their progress through their career.

This event will also serve as an identifier for invitations to the Junior Future Games in July. The Junior Future Games will run in conjunction with the Prep Baseball's Future Games and Senior Future Games. The Future Games features the top High School players in the Class of 2027 from across Prep Baseball's 40+ state coverage area. It is one of the most highly recruited events of the summer and attracts more than 400 college coaches from across the country each year.

The Junior Future Games, an Invitation-Only event, will feature the best identified prospects from across the country in a four-day event at Lake Point in Cartersville, GA. This state-of-the-art facility features 8 all-turf fields. Participants will compete against other top-level players while representing their respective state.

2025 ROSTER

This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, with plenty of names making their way to a Prep Baseball showcase for the first time. Currently, the event has 35 prospects making their way to Corona.

OF/RHP Nathan Englander (Sierra Canyon, 2029) is a name heading to Corona High School this weekend that our staff is familiar with, having attended multiple events in the past, including being a member of Team California at the Prep Baseball Junior Future Games this past summer. Englander is a physical right-right prospect that has shown loud tools at our events, including a max exit velocity of 91.1 mph, max batted distance of 334 feet, 75 mph infield velocity, and an average bat speed of 69.5 mph. On the mound, he’s a clean, athletic and simple mover that’s been up to 83 mph with his fastball. Our staff is eager to get an updated look at Englander this weekend after a long off-season of work.
