Prep Baseball Wisconsin Best of 2025: Top Average Changeup Horizontal Movement
December 10, 2025
With our 2026 event calendar on the horizon, our staff has dedicated some time to reflect on the top statistical performers that we saw at our events in 2025. We'll be shining some light on Wisconsin natives who put up loud numbers in 2025, showcasing their tools to our staff at Prep Baseball Wisconsin events.
These leaderboards were compiled solely based on numbers at our state events, including Super 60, Preseason IDs, All-States, Open events, Future Games, and the All-American Game, too.

By the numbers breakdown:
- 30 prospects had an average changeup horizontal movement over 18 inches across all four grad classes.
- 13 2026 prospects had an average changeup horizontal movement over 18 inches.
- 18 2027 prospects had an average changeup horizontal movement over 17 inches.

AVERAGE CHANGEUP HORIZONTAL MOVEMENT
Horizontal Break: Outlined on TrackMan’s own website: “... horizontal movement is measured in inches between where the pitch actually crosses the front of home plate side-wise, and where it would have crossed home plate side-wise if had it traveled in a perfectly straight line from release. A positive number means the break was to the right from the pitcher’s perspective, while a negative number means the break was to the left from the pitcher’s perspective.”
