Sacramento Summer ID: Event Analysis

On June 10th, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the Sacramento Summer ID at Franklin High School in Elk Grove, Cal. This was an open event for high school classes (2026-2029), and gave our staff an ample look at the area's top prospects.
22 players made their way to Franklin HS and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.
Today, we’re looking at all of the scouting reports from the event, with a top-10 ranking from the day.
TOP OVERALL PROSPECTS
1. Nico Busalacchi, Del Oro High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP Physical hard-hitting 1B with present power to pull-side.
Body: 5-12, 217-pounds. Physical heavy frame, filled out.
Hit: LHH. LHH. Strong compact lower half. Carries hands back down to chest-level on load. Back elbow works high with fluidity. Hands load first followed by a leg kick. Stride is short, compact, staying balanced through his swing. Torks his hip back, releases with compact aggression towards the mound.
Power: 105 mph max exit velocity (98.3 avg.); 379-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 79 mph. RH. Releases at 3-quarter angle with extension. The ball fades towards targets a bit.
Defense: Strong base with heavy movements. Active upper body. Quick feet.
Athletic Testing: 7.39 runner in the 60-yard dash; 20.30-inch max vertical jump.
