Ankeney has natural strength in his 6-foot-3, 220-pound frame and could develop into a physical monster. He has cleaned up his footwork around first base and throws 80 across the infield. He is a serious physical presence with big raw power. The bat is clearly his carrying tool, as he consistently makes hard contact out front with loose wrists and natural loft.
