SoCal Player of the Week: Caden Connor

Connor picked the right time to get hot for the Orange Lutheran Lancers as they headed to North Carolina to play in the NHSI Tournament as back-to-back champions of the event. After opening the tournament with a 2-for-3 2R BB day, Connor made his biggest impact in the championship game going 3-for-3 with a 2 2B and 4R and a walk.

For the week, the uncommitted senior finished 6-for-10 with 2 2B, 5 walks, and 9 runs scored.

Connor will look to keep that momentum going this week. Despite a sluggish offensive start to the season, the senior outfielder has played superb defense in center field. The Lancers are 17-3 overall and 6-0 in conference play. Ranked #1 in the Power 25 they have a three game series against #2 JSerra this week a battle of the Trinity League’s two top teams.

For his efforts, Connor has been named the Prep Baseball Report SoCal Player of the Week for the week of April 1st - April 8th.. Prep Baseball Report Salutes Caden’s hard work both on-and-off the field.
