At the Class of 2014 Showcase in July 2012, Kincanon burst onto the scene with his athletic build (6-foot-3, 180 pounds) and two-way ability. He impressed the most on the mound, with a fastball up to 85 mph that featured some arm-side sink and solid secondary offerings. He also showed some pop from the left side and good hands with a solid arm in the infield, but his future is on the mound. At the Illinois Preseason All-State Showcase the following February Kincanon showed good velocity for an early outing, sitting 83-85 and topping out 86.

Kincanon has seen his velocity tick up recently, sitting 86-88 this summer and is breaking ball has become harder, sitting 73-76 with 12-to-6 action. He also has a good changeup at 76-77 that has excellent action to his arm side.
