Team Illinois Future Games: Game 3 Recap

Team Illinois took on Team Missouri in Game Three of the Prep Baseball Future Games and won by a score of 6-2. Illinois continued their hot streak at the plate, totalling 11 total hits. 1B Brody Landgraf (Columbia) went on to earn the Dicks Sporting Goods Player of the Game after going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two stolen bases.

OF/INF Gavin Michaels (Normal Community) continued to show well on the weekend as he notched a hit in the game with one RBI, two walks and one run scored. MIF Landon Thome (Nazareth) displayed high-level bat-to-ball skills all weekend, and finished last night’s game with two hits, one stolen base and one run scored.

RHP Chase Lockwood (Libertyville) and RHP Jory Crocker (Willowbrook) each showed clean innings on the mound in their brief stints, as they both tossed one inning with two strikeouts, while RHP Connor Elenteny (Mt. Carmel) and RHP Keaton Reinke (St. Charles North) each tallied one strikeout in their one inning of work.
