2026 MSHSAA Team Preview: Parkway West Longhorns

Prep Baseball Missouri Staff

The Missouri high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 19, opening day for regular season action under MSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2026 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Missouri Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2026 preseason coverage continues today.

Coach’s Insight: “We have a core team that is particularly motivated. The upperclassmen have been super hungry to learn, adapt and lead the key functions of the program philosophy we are implementing. These kids are very coachable and eager to make their mark this year anyway they can. They will play hard, be great teammates and have a great approach while playing the game together. I am excited to see how they step up into leadership roles. Pitching Inexperience - replacing a total of 95.4 innings from the previous year will be a tall task. Players will be tested on the mound early and often during the season with the tough schedule we designed to play.” – Colin Riesmeyer, head coach
