2024 Future Games: Team Ohio - Workout/Gameday Notes

The 13th annual Future Games took place on July 24-28 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2026 and 2027 participated in one of the most popular events each year.
There were 36 teams, including Team Ohio, with players representing 43 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players are put through a showcase workout on Wednesday, the first day of the Future Games.
More than 300 colleges from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event. This year, more than 450 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance.

The Two-Ways
Conner Cuozzo 3B / RHP / Archbishop Moeller, OH / 2026Report: 6-1, 220-pound RHH power bat who will likely stick at 1B. Pull side pop. 100+ exit velo. 7.01 runner. 85 INF velo. 2-sport guy who will have a tough choice to make. |
Grant Lashutka RHP / SS / St. Edward, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 7
Report: Two-way prospect who profiles best on the mound. 84-86 T87 high IVB. Projectable body that needs some added strength. |
Owen Mikin C / RHP / Saint Ignatius, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 14 / POS: 1
Report: Two-way prospect who will likely see his best oppotunities on the mound. 86-88 T89 with very low mileage on the arm. |
Drew Oerther 1B / LHP / Loveland, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 24 / POS: 1
Report: Gamer on the mound who has a knack for missing the barrel and producing outs. 85-86 T87 at FG. 4 pitch mix that'll play well at the next level. |
Jack Ryan RHP / 1B / St. Xavier, OH / 2026Report: Physical LHH corner infielder that has 2-way potential at the next level. Dealt with a high anke sprain and a shoulder issue to finish the summer. Plays high level competition in spring/summer with a lot of success. |
Mason Springs SS / RHP / Marysville, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 27 / POS: 6
Report: Toolsy prospect who can change a game on the bases with his 6.6 speed. |
Isaac Sullivan SS / RHP / Chaminade-Julienne, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 23 / POS: 4
Report: 2-way prospect with more current promise on the mound. Has enough arm and good enough feet to play a corner INF/OF spot at the next level. Good instincts and speed on the bases. 6.6 runner. Showed a two-pitch mix FB/SL sitting 88-90 in-game. |
The Arms

Report: 87-90 arm with a firm SL that generates a lot of s/m in the zone. Quick arm, FB can show +avg carry at times. Not close to his ceiling. |
Nathan Bryant RHP / 3B / Lake Center Christian, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 22 / POS: 8
Report: Rock and fire delivery with that can run it into the low 9's early in his outings. Has a lot of mid-major interest. |

Report: Starter profile. 3 pitch mix with command over all three. 87-90 that will sit consistently at 89 with ride and run. |

Report: Steady LHP with a fluid delivery. Commands the arsenal well and works right at hitters. |
Landon Thiel LHP / Massillon Jackson, OH / 2026Report: Still not close to his ceilling, 6-foot-7 LHP who commanded the ball well at FG. Got a lot of s/m on the fastball. |
The Infielders
Matthew Mansbery SS / 3B / Walsh Jesuit, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 26 / POS: 5
Report: Long levered frame with +avg bat to ball, high feel for the game, aggressive at the right times at the plate. Accelerates well around the bases and defends at a high level. |
Matt Ponatoski SS / RHP / Archbishop Moeller, OH / 2026Report: Elite tools and one of the most professional offensive approaches in the class. Enough arm strength to play on the left side of the infield at any level. Not phased by velocity or +secondary. Draft/high p5 type prospect. |
Landon Wolf 1B / 3B / Amherst Steele, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 35 / POS: 2
Report: Gamer profile - not the toolsiest prospect but finds barrels against high level arms routinely. Left handed run producer. Clutch hitter. Low mid major. |
The Outfielders
Donovan Corbett OF / RHP / Lakota East, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 53 / POS: 8
Report: Toolsy outfielder. Arm strength and accuracy combo is a difference maker in-game. Explosive at the plate and can change a game with one swing. |

Report: Prototypical leadoff man with sneaky juice. One of the more direct LH swings in the class. Advanced approach at the plate, sees the ball well. |
Chandler Taylor OF / 1B / Badin, OH / 2026Report: Low heartbeat player who is comfortable in high leverage settings. Potential in the bat to an impact LHH like his brother. Moves well in the OF and gets good jumps. P5 type prospect |
Zander Triplett OF / RHP / Louisville, OH / 2026Rankings StateRank: 19 / POS: 2
Report: Accelerates well in the box with an explosive RHH swing. Carries the ball well from the OF with enough arm strength to deter runners. |
