The 2025 California high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across California.
Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in their respective CIF Section Championship Game, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview these individual programs across California. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings.

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE
A 2024 campaign which came to a close in the CIF-SS D2 Quarterfinals the Lions return an intriguing roster of talented players who have varsity experience and a few new faces that will be in positions to impact the programs 2025 success. With a trio of D1 LHP commits fronting the pitching staff from the highly impressive Cody Kiemele who gives the Lions an ace to open the week, but is backed up by Chavez and Khasaempanth will make taking a series from the Lions very difficult and a dangerous matchup for any team in a one-game scenario come CIF-SS playoff time. With rising offensive pieces like Luke Bacon, Joseph Flores JR. adding to the four SRs. leading the Lions lineup don't be surprised if we see them make a run come May. - Steven Hardesty Assistant Scouting Director
