RANKINGS SPOTLIGHT: CHARLIE SHAVER

The 4th ranked RHP in the 2026 class, Charlie Shaver, delivers his fastball up to 88mph from a 6'0"-170lbs frame. Shaver impressed at our recent Preseason All-State West event pounding the zone with all of his pitches but really commanding the fastball and change-up from the same arm slot. Charlie has smooth mechanics and a quick arm that really accelerate at front foot strike, fastball and change-up are his best two options right now, his slider was commanded well with average movement at the plate. He is an athletic mover on the mound who shows off a 33" vertical and has pitchability commanding all pitches in the zone. I expect Shaver to play a key role on the mound this spring for North Stanly HS and make a case to move himself up in the rankings as the year goes on.
